Welcome to Porthleven, a charming Cornish village nestling around an historic harbour in Mount's Bay and close to the Market Town of Helston, home of the famous Floral Dance.

Right at the heart of the community is the Parish Church of St. Bartholomew, where you will receive a warm welcome whether you are just visiting or whether you live here.

At the centre of our worship is the Eucharist, or Holy Communion. The main Parish Eucharist, or Mass, with bells and incense is at 9.30 am on Sunday. The Eucharist is also celebrated on Tuesday at 1900 and on Thursday at 10.00. For those of you who value the traditional worship of the Book of Common Prayer, there is a Prayer Book Communion service on Sunday at 8.00 am and on Friday at 9.15 am.

Porthleven is and ideal place from which to explore South West Cornwall. It has lots of places to stay, plenty of places to eat and drink, and on the doorstep is the National Trust Penrose estate with the tranquil waters of Loe Pool, the largest fresh-water lake in Cornwall.

Once you have visited Porthleven you will want to keep coming back. We look forward to welcoming you.
